Executive Summary

Cameron's afternoon centered on a SmallWorld product review of the REL AI interface with a colleague/manager. The review was largely positive ("Good work Cam, this is gonna be huge"), with feedback focusing on UI polish — removing third-degree network connections (David finds them confusing), adding loading indicators to prevent double-clicks, and folding non-target companies into the existing filter pattern. A significant product discussion emerged around dynamically updating the AI-generated summary sentence when users change filters by passing filter parameters to OpenAI, though this was acknowledged as a large effort. The session wrapped with a brief personal conversation about an upcoming trip involving a crypto expert helping access hardware wallets inherited from a deceased uncle.

### Reviewing shared documents and screen
**2:00 PM - 2:21 PM EDT** | *meeting*

**Microphone:**
Thank you. Oh, I'm going to go to the next one. Hey, how are you feeling that?

So I looked at the stuff you sent over. Can you actually just share your screen for a couple minutes with me real quick? Because it does look generally good, and I don't want to spend a ton of time actually doing anything to it. Regarding the network, I'll have a chat with David. We've talked about this before and he is aware that there's no third degree through REL AI. Now, just for your own kind of edification, David is actually how we're doing with it right now.

That makes sense. Yeah, buying centers and levels are fine. I don't love these drop-downs, FYI, or the pill style, but we're not going to change this right now. What I'm going to do is we're going to get through this and come back with the style guide I've been working on across all these other pages and apply it to REL AI. Though I did just realize that the front-end JavaScript is now over one megabyte large, so I'm going to need to start thinking about that. Well, I mean, you know, as it begins to replace our entire user interface, it might be reasonable to expect it to balloon into the world. We can pull some stuff into separate files, but that's okay; we'll get there.

The dark company's filter pill menu and the beast motile are only feasible when users are not supposed to accompany it. Can you show me that? Yep, ordering is a little funky there. I just didn't spend much time on it because I figured that this would be a conversation that we had once I got to this. That looks fine. So it would be a pretty quick, demo-able thing David likes, and we can talk about that later.

Click on target into that... so I don't think you should be very top; we show like the people's teams, separate the teams or the target companies. Yeah, do it just like that. Fold it in as "include non-target companies." We already have that style, so that should be easy enough. Yeah, I figured that would be really quick. It seems fast. It's pretty fast.

I think there's one thing with the loading initially on this page where I think... do we have any strong relationships? I think there's just something kind of weird with this where there's just like a little bit too much time between when I hit enter or send and... but beyond that, I don't even know what to do in cases. But I agree. And then the loading thing taking too long—because there's no indicator, they're going to press it twice every fucking time, I bet. David's going to press it four times and tell you it's not working. Much like your comment the other day was, "Did you refresh the page?" I want that. I kind of do.

So like if you, for instance, right now it says, "Want your target company showing up?" Okay, so let's say you change it to "strong" and "very strong" and you hit "show results." Well, that is what was displaying already. It would show you completely different results. And it's also the same that if you add that a level filter, I would love it to expand that out. Mm-hmm. So in that case, you're saying you'd want to say "strong relationships that apply and, you know, the people in this level," or you just want to reinterpolate it with additional context every time?

If I remember correctly, we're passing like the query parameters to OpenAI and it generates that sentence phrase, right? Well, yeah, I mean, currently it's just the search query, but yeah, it will have the filter parameters if we did that. And that way it also knows how to humanize it properly. It would then say like, "You asked for strong..." maybe it would actually ask, "You asked for strong executive" or could be "strong marketing," really. I think we can trust OpenAI after that. Doing so would create a lot of work, and so I'm not saying we have to do it.

What should happen in the conversation on the left? I've thought a little bit about that, and I also played around with it a bit. I just couldn't figure out a better way to... it felt weird to me that the assistant would keep messaging me despite me not sending anything. As weird as those thoughts were in my head, at least. I do think there is a way. I don't think it's an easy way, and I think it's not like a technical solution; it's like what from a product perspective feels cool. Okay, I'm good with that. Amen.

The best upload—bulk upload for target companies. I'm like, we should have a link that lets you download a format that CSV to use. Yeah, this looks good. I would say, yeah, Small World Network. When you don't have a company, make sure those two are together. And then, oh, not together, because you're going to actually merge it. Yeah, that should be fairly straightforward and I can do that. Okay, sounds good. Good work Cam, this is gonna be huge. Thank you. Work at your pace.

Hey, how are you in your... just until Saturday night, basically. I guess a friend who's a crypto expert might be able to help me access some of the hardware wallets that we got from my latest... uncle's apartment. Oh boy. Yeah, so work and play, I guess. It sounds like the beginning of like a thriller movie or something, which is like you're going to get access and then there's going to be a small cadre of like spies coming after you to get the value in your wallet. Yeah, honestly, I was taken completely off guard by the discovery of all of this stuff when my uncle passed away. For sure, there might be a couple hundred thousand for his kids, so that's the important part, I guess. People can take multitudes.

What was that? Where's my audio? Okay, I lost you there for a sec. Hey, I think you're back. Oh, okay. Yeah, I gotta look at the other side too. I think otherwise I'll wait to see what you do. Okay, sounds like a plan.

**System Audio:**
I looked at the stuff you sent over. Can you actually just share the screen for a couple minutes?

I don't, so I'll have a chat with David. We've talked about this before, and he is aware in the way he's aware that we're doing anything to it. And then the question of the network—there's no third degree of how we're doing the third degree in a bunch of different ways. He actually thinks it causes lots of confusion, which I agree with, and so forth and so on. So actually, I don't think there's a problem losing the third degree. I think we can add it back in time, but I actually think it needs more product work to it. So why don't we pull the small world network thing?

Levels are fine. I don't love these dropdowns, FYI, or the pill style, but we're not—I did realize the front-end JavaScript is now over one megabyte large; I need to start thinking about that. At some point, I will come back with the style guide I have been working on across all these other pages and apply it to Reli. We'll get there.

The menu and the beast mode only feels like when user query is not supposed to accompany a t-show map. I actually am okay with it; looks fine. Actually, show bio intent through this interface at all? So kill it. We also into that. Yeah, it seems fast. Yeah, I would agree with that. Much like your comment the other day was: "Did you refresh the page?" Remember how David uses then... levels, does it update that preview Apple? Yeah, and I would love it. But it's also the same; if you added a level filter, I would love it to expand that out. Oh, okay. Let's say you added those, it would show you completely different results. The company's showing up.

Okay, so let's say you change it to "strong" and "very strong," and you hit "show results." Taking is too long because there's no indicator that they're going to press it twice every fucking time, I bet. David's going to press it four times, close the window, and then tell you it's not working. Yeah, I agree. I do agree. Pressing the button and then the loading thing. Thank you.

One cog, one wrench to throw in the cogs. That answers my question. I agree. I do think there is a conversation on the left. I think what I'm about to say would create a lot of work; I'm not saying we have to do it. What do you think about if you change these filters, what should happen? I don't know how it would be, but I think we can trust OpenAI for that. That way it would then say, "You asked for strong executive relationships at Apple." If I remember correctly, we're passing the query parameters to OpenAI and it generates that sentence or that phrase, right?

Wait, one second. Bulk upload for target companies—I'm like, we should have a link that lets you download a formatted CSV to use, and it's like, you don't have one. I made one, and I was like, okay. I think fucking Claude is just the best. Okay, I'm working on the upload. Thanks, Claude.

All right, on staging, and then we can share with David later after that. Okay, good work Cam, this is going to be huge. This is a... me too. Well, okay, sounds good. It's just seeing friends or family or friends? Oh boy, beginning of like a thriller movie or something, which is like you're going to get access and then there's going to be a small cadre of like North Korean spies coming after you for the value in your wallets. That happen in...? People can take Moby-Tunes. Wow.

Okay. Hey, I think you're back. Yeah, I got a website too. I think otherwise I'll wait to see what you do.

### Informal conversation about home and family

I film. Okay, is Ellie the correct way you want to let Mom in? Okay. I'm not trying to like occupy too much space. You want like another pillow or something? I could learn everything I need. Sure. Me? I don't know. Oops. You said what? It was not a late-same problem. Shut up, right? How's your name? Um, well I have to select such a poor posture. So we're working with my wife. Yeah, I hope I can see. I'm not a zoom, pretty. Okay, did you—that's awesome. Have you planned on a shower, Chelsea? Yeah, I'm really excited. Yeah, I know. I know, I know it was an accident. Just started to scratch it somewhere. I'm barely hanging on. What do you make it up here like? You're not dying inside? No, I've swallowed all my confusions. Yeah, so it's usually the way things go. Thank you. I want hate your house. I am. Know. Well, the guy here, he's a trip too. I mean, you were there, right? Remember that one time that—uh-huh. Yeah, that's... one marks company. What is this? Is it a sober living community permit? Jesus Christ. His parents want to sit this morning. Yeah, like a Korean for real or sequences. Oh, I don't know if I'm lying in the house. Yeah, that's correct. I'm doing that. I remember one of the only times I ever took fun of her, but I got so sick. She's a huge forever. Uh, easy. It's very different.

Laura, are you hungry? Are you going to be flittering? I'm not hungry on my job. Ha ha. She's more of a mother to me than I really love her. Bravo. But... which is okay. I'm like, absolutely—um, feel like... that would go down the nose with you. They did a good job with it. You can have my card. No. We were at the bar. I don't know what I'm talking about. Saw the wallets over here. I think it's good. Was actually going to say something about I carry lights, but it just doesn't—about, what was that? The one year they went. And Jerry doesn't think it. Great lengths at Tavis. Tavis is also pretentious. Very different types. High fluid. I don't know. Really did not take him for him. A year. Yeah, a year. I mean you were over—I guess probably because I probably pushed you down a lot maybe. Not alone. That was everything. I know I don't fuck you. Okay, Ash. He's good at all the things that care is not good.

So let's give us a slick knickknack because that way we don't eat Parisian like a little bit of a French jaw cheese. Yeah, I also got that photo on my hair—I mean, whatever on the wall. I was like, you recognize this in walls? Yeah. Okay. I feel like... I'm not sure, maybe the past life. Thank you. Wonder well like the total, I'm sure it's uncountable. Impossible. Impossible. What? Oh no, I'm not. Bye. Let me do it in the kitchen area. Oh shit. Oh, shut up. It's like, awesome. New York. New York. Let's see. Let's go. Arboros. Know how it shows car. What do you think would happen? Can see. I mean, it has to be like a little bit of an over-exaggeration, but Apple productivity. There we go, this is you mean. Awesome. There we go. Million, wow. That's also app. You—ah, fuck, where's the barcode ticket? You see the email. Here's the receipt. That's how we feel. A walled garden. Right, right, right. If it's not, I can be in the car. Okay. You know? For meetings later or no? Exactly. Come here, Chewie. Chewbacca! I'll show you. What's that? This is a week-long ordeal. Chippo, what's up man?
