Executive Summary

The Flow Systems team (Luis, Miguel, Cam) held a strategy meeting covering branding, compensation, and growth planning. Luis proposed starting founder salaries at $2,000/month each, with an accountant meeting Wednesday to finalize after reviewing expenses — the company is currently generating ~$10-11K/month and is already profitable. The team decided to shelve the animated logo concept in favor of the existing finalized logos, set up the company LinkedIn page with proper profile pictures and banners, and identified that the flowsystems.live website is down due to a Cloudflare migration issue. The marketing strategy centers on a phased approach: personal LinkedIn announcements first, then cold email outreach to existing leads (including Puerto Rico), followed by video content — with the goal of reaching 15 clients by July and 20 by August. Cam will hold off on public announcements due to current employment constraints.

### Team call with logo discussion
**5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDT** | *meeting*

**Microphone:**
Yeah, I fell asleep. Oops. You're good. I sent you the invite. Alright, sweet, that's perfect. I'll see you in a second. Alright, peace. Bye.

I don't mean that being bad at all. Sorry for the wait. You are not forgiven. Nah, I figured. I'll throw it together. Fucking figure it out. Nothing I can do is right. Nope.

What's new? Nothing's new. I have a headache. Oh, that's down there. Sounds like something I'm going to talk to the doctor about.

Um, wait, is that what we want to use for the logo? Oh, see, that's the icon, but I wouldn't put the whole logo in a profile picture. There is a vertical version. Okay, I guess I can tell you this, but we already have... What about the flow? I like that though. But I like the direction. I really liked the idea initially, but right now I'm trying to force it. By making it legible, the whole concept went out the window. I can show it to you, but I wouldn't present it. It doesn't look like a finished logo. It doesn't. Was it the squiggly lines? Yeah, the squiggly lines, I feel like maybe we should... I don't know, this is not the way.

I have a fucking mess with my files. You and me both. I have all these iterations, but I think that maybe we should just leave this for later and when I finally got the time to develop it further and make it animated. Like this could be our animated identity type shit. This feels incomplete to me. There's 20 different versions. There is something there, but I don't see the concept working. Sure, it might look cool, but I wouldn't present it. So what I have for our brand is two logos and our icons over here, which we could also present as green. Yeah, I feel you. I really like the logo, I like the idea. I don't think it's there yet. I would prefer to leave it for later because it doesn't hurt us at all, and we can actually have it well developed. Yeah, just send that one to me for now. This one? Mm-hmm. Yeah. I would like to switch it later on, but I'm a little bummed out. I really liked it.

Is that how big you want it? I saw with a couple profile pictures, LinkedIn crops a lot. You can adjust it there. I'm just giving you some white space so it's not too tight. Let me try something. I like that. That looks good. I like it too. Yeah, it needs to be 300 by 300, by the way. Okay. It's like a stamp.

That's certified. I'm going to go to the meeting. She pulls up anywhere. No invite. Okay, I'll make that banner for you right now. Let me just make the two. Can I get the measurements for the banner? No, I need to finish creating the first one. I'm making the LinkedIn. Did you send it to the email? No, I sent it to Louise. Yes, I did send it to the wrong email. Okay, it's all good.

What happened to your uniform? Okay, I created it. Now, is this really so thick? Fucking bright. So bright. Our futures are so bright. Oh, I do, but I can't believe that. I'm going to get... Also, Cam, the Flow System website seems to be down. Is it? Yeah, maybe the fact that we're calling it a website is crazy, but it does appear to be down.

Oh, it's because we moved it to our Cloudflare account. I don't think I ever put it back. Let me see here. I saw some measurements here. It says that for company pages, it's different than personal pages. Not really. Okay, I think I got it. Copy paste. Whatever. I know I'm updating our website. When you see it, you'll be like, oh, now it's a website. You changed it? Yeah, you'll see. It's getting there, don't worry. Honestly, just as a placeholder, can we try to give it kind of like the samples of what you made, Miguel? Obviously it's not going to be perfect, but I think it's better than the AI stuff.

What? No, guy, I don't want the AI slop we had. The one that's gonna make it is still gonna be sloppy, I know, but it's gonna be better than whatever we had. Do we want to put someone's phone number on there? You can put mine. Yeah. I'm just saying, I'm making it like a placeholder contact card for now, and then eventually it'll be the musings of Miguel. I just got an email from Rubeb. Fuck me. What could they possibly be looking for? Oh, your money. Oh. What do you mean invalid URL format? What's an invalid URL format? Flowsystems.live. It says invalid URL format. When you type it in... Let me hold on. I'll show you. It's not like you're typing in HTTPS colon forward slash forward slash flows.systems that left. That worked? Okay, good. Well, yeah, because you need your secure protocol, brother. If you did HTTP, that would work too. I'm sure WWW would have worked as well, but they need at least a subdomain. Oh, okay, never mind. Secure protocol required.

Oh, I forgot to send you guys the fucking recordings. Yeah, bro, you're fucked. I know, dude. I know. I forgot how to type. Yeah, there we go. I'm getting shit on right now. There's a chance that has something to do with the fact that the site is throwing errors, but I don't think it is. Okay, well, while we figure all of this out, the other thing that I wanted to touch base on was something that I mentioned to Cam about.

So I think what I'm going to start doing—I'm not entirely sure if this is the right way to do it, but I'm considering giving us a salary. So obviously we're not making a huge amount of money right now, but I think based off the clients that we have, we can pay $2,000 a month for each of us right now. I'm thinking for now, we're probably going to start there. Obviously, as we scale, we can give ourselves raises and whatnot. But I think this is the fairest way of paying all of us and maintaining a healthy bank account.

There are a lot of things that we're not taking into consideration here, like taxes and write-offs, et cetera. We need to think about spending money on expenses, because at the end of the year, we could do this as dividends, but then we'd have to pay capital gains tax if we don't have an incentive that blocks that—which is something that at least Miguel and I can do. I don't know about you, Cam.

Nope.

Would be nice. But I mean, you could just move to Puerto Rico, right?

No.

That's a really good point. But yeah, so at least that's kind of where I'm heading. I think it's a good place to start. I was thinking of doing $2,500 a month, which obviously would be better in the summer in terms of having our personal wallets up, but what is happening? Another admin is trying to make changes to this page at the same time as you. Please try again.

It's gotta be you, dude.

Yeah, sure. Two tabs open maybe?

Is that it?

No, it doesn't seem like it.

Here we go. Anyway, yeah, so I think you're going to talk hopefully on Wednesday with the accountant. I'm sure there's a little bit of calculus that we're going to need to do with the expenses that we have on a monthly basis. I'm sure that'll slightly modify how much the salaries need to be.

That's kind of why I'm shooting for it to be lower. Because I'm not entirely sure where we're at in terms of expenses. Obviously, there are a lot of expenses that you have that we need to touch base on. And that's also part of why I wanted to have this call. So if you could create—I know you kind of had a worksheet on the expenses that you're incurring right now that I can give to the accountant, that would be great. Obviously, it's just going to be better if we have the full scope of how much money is coming in and how much money is going out.

Yeah, I'll double-check on everything. But yeah, I mean I don't think it's gonna be difficult to get all that rolling. Yeah, I think $2k is like a good starting point.

Where do I... my pages? How do I deactivate the page? No, thanks, man. It's just another take on the same shit.

Yeah, ways to hide my heroin masterclass. I feel that. Bro, why does it say invalid domain for this?

What are you typing, HTTPS?

No, it's asking for an email. I don't know. Why is it the old logo?

What the fuck, dude? They're the OG one? It's got the OG one, it's the favicon, or whatever, and the new one all over the site.

Can I see that? Just out of curiosity.

Yeah, I'll share my screen really quick. I just noticed something.

Well, you need to add in—you know, I did our first ship, and like after two weeks I looked at it, but uh it actually looks pretty cool.

What the fuck? It's good. The whole 3D logo thing is down in the corner. What the fuck? Over here?

Okay. Anyways, sorry. Where's the... What's the old going on? What, the old... oh, it's up here. Ah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Ah, the pentagon, okay, yeah, yeah.

You said it. Um, I don't know, can I just say better, I guess? Yeah, whatever. I'm not gonna say anything. I'm just gonna go to work. It's okay. The second you got someone ready, we'll replace the slob. Anyways, should I get that code base or can I just build my own?

Bro, I've tried to log into CloudFlare and I just lost. We'll do another session, dude. Don't even stress. Can you get the new logo as the favicon?

What are you saying, Luis? That you have to include their logo terms of the website because right now it's only that?

Yeah, yeah. Uh, totally. Um, yeah, I mean it just kept the original and responsive. Honestly, I have no expectations regarding design at this point.

Okay, it seems to have worked. Yay! Small win. I'll take those. Yeah, so for whatever reason, let me see something here. A bitmap? What? Yeah. That is so weird. It keeps saying another admin is trying to make changes.

Two tabs open, Luis?

No. It's okay. At least it's safe, the information. Like, I can leave it as is. We don't have a website for now. But anyway, so okay, now that that's done, I can actually talk without sounding like I'm having an aneurysm.

So what I was saying was, I think the best thing we can do right now is just start paying ourselves. Obviously, we all have expenses and stuff. Cam, I know that you said you're doing pretty good for yourself right now, so I'm happy for you. But I just wanted to tell you—I mean, if you just want to build equity in the company, I guess, but like that just doesn't make sense to me.

Because if I'm paying myself and I'm paying Miguel, we're just kind of taking money from your equity.

Oh, no, I get that. And I'm also not trying to make it difficult for us to manage our books either. I just wanted to make sure that it was known that I'm in no rush on my end specifically.

Which is fine. And you also beat us with the $3k that you put in.

So I'm trying to first rack up the game—a third of that is 3,000. Which is fine, but that's not really a problem for me because as soon as we have enough money, I'm just going to pull that money to my account anyway. You know what I'm saying? I'm just going to pay myself back. So that's not really what worries me.

I think the goal here is that we just start, which we're already there. You know, we're obviously generating more than what we're spending, so like I'm just off rip—like we're already in profit. The important thing is that we consistently have money in that bank account. So, you know, right now, 6k is maybe like 60% of what we're making monthly. So let's say we're ripping like 10k, maybe 11k monthly off the accounts that we already have, right?

Needless to say, that can get better. I think that my short-term goal is that we start hitting 20k months. But naturally for that, we kind of have to have all of this branding kicked in. We have to exhaust our sphere of influence. And we need to actually start doing a little bit of cold outreach. Because again, you know, if we can get 0.5% of 10,000 leads, like that's still 500 clients. You know what I'm saying? That's a lot. Even if it's for, like, the dumbest shit, like just touch and go type of product, it's still a lot, you know?

So needless to say, there's definitely a big market for this. We just have to attack it accordingly. You know, we need to work on what our content would look like. You know, I have no problem like filming and doing different types of stuff like creating LinkedIn posts and all that, but, you know, baby steps, right? You know, so I made the LinkedIn with the idea of, like, obviously getting this link to our LinkedIn. And that's definitely something that I want to get sorted now.

What do you think is going to be our... I think that, okay, so first off, I think that really depends because it depends on how we scale. I think LinkedIn for starters is going to be good because there's probably an extended sphere of influence that we're just not hitting because people have no idea what the fuck we're doing, right? So I think, you know, first starters, like just hitting that sphere of influence of connections—people that we know that may have like certain positions in companies that could benefit from the services we have—they'll be more inclined to talk with us before they talk with another service provider that does the same things we do because they know us, right?

So I think that for starters, like, you know, when we commence this first marketing push, I think LinkedIn will be good. I'm definitely gonna do socials, you know. I'd do LinkedIn, I do Instagram, I do Facebook, sort of. And, you know, I'd run ad campaigns. We can do Google ad campaigns. We can do meta ad campaigns. I don't want to be too aggressive with the budget right now because at first I'd rather do email marketing, like cold email outreach, because again, if we already have so many leads and we haven't even—I believe all those leads were outside of Puerto Rico. If we can actually get leads inside of Puerto Rico too, like I'm sure there are a lot of companies we can touch base with. You know, I don't think it's that crazy considering that we're this deep in and we're about to touch the double digits with how many clients we have. I don't think it's that crazy to think that in two months we can double that, considering that we've really only been working at this—like actually working at this—since the beginning of March.

So yeah. I think that's kind of the plan. I'd start with email outreach. I'd start with LinkedIn. I'd do a LinkedIn post on my own profile saying, like, you know, all this bullshit: after four years of working on an entertainment startup, I decided to switch gears and start doing this, blah blah blah. People are going to be like, "Congrats, wow, that's so brave." I suggest both of you do the same thing, just because, you know, we all have different spheres of influence, and that's just kind of a way that maybe we could get a couple more deals on the table.

I don't think that it's necessarily going to be something that like we're going to get our bulk of clients from, but like it's a good start. Follow that up with email marketing cold outreach. Follow that up with an actual first marketing push in terms of creating good videos, getting good content out, so people want to be like, "Oh, shit, I want to work with these people." So I think that's kind of how we're going to work at it.

Needless to say, I think we're already at that point. I know I'm exhausting my sphere of influence, and luckily it's working to our benefit. And there's still some people that I want to touch base with that I know I can get clients out of. That sphere of influence is also growing. But, you know, we need to start finding other ways of keeping clients, right? Because for all I know, the clients that we have right now, next month they turn their back and they're like, "I don't want to pay for this anymore." And then we're shit out of luck.

So we need to figure out a way to just keep that influx of cash coming in. And again, I really think that if we can just kind of continuously get clients, even if we don't retain them, that's just a way of making sure that we're still making bread.

Let's see. We've talked a lot about this. Basically, I agree with you. We talked a lot about reaching out and doing websites and pages. We haven't even started with that.

I think that would also be a great starting point where we don't have to worry about retaining clients and keeping cash flow. I agree. Yeah, so definitely, there are a lot of kind of touch-and-go products, which would be nice. And then, just try to find clients that we can keep on retainers so we can have a couple of cash cows while we're getting these things going, right? But yeah, that's kind of how I see it, at least right now.

You know, things can change as they tend to. But yeah, so I'd say we start here. I really wanted to have this meeting just to make sure that we're all on the same page. And I wanted to set up the LinkedIn page so we can also update our profile.

If you're in a weird situation with your startup, I don't know if this is something you can really make public.

Yeah, it's going to be... I'll probably have to not do it immediately.

I'm getting to the point where I don't give a fuck, but...

Sorry, what was that?

What?

I said, don't give a fuck, bro. I'm quoting you.

Yeah, I mean, so I'm definitely not supposed to have multiple jobs in my current position. Previously, all of the work that I've done for other companies has gone under the radar and not on my record.

Yeah, and to be fair, you know, obviously, I think it's totally understandable that all of us have these side hustles. But I really think this is something we can build out in the next few years. And again, I'm at the point where I don't really care if they fire me. For the next five years, I want to build this and make really good money off of it.

I can't say for certain that we can do this for the next five years because AI grows at a pace like no other. So for all I know, in the next three years, we're completely obsolete. But while it's still viable, I think we have to go for it. And then at the end of the day, we're going to have a stacked resume. If it ends up being something we just can't continue, we can sell the company. If we've scaled to that point, we can sell it or call it quits and find jobs with all the experience we've built up. You know what I'm saying? So yeah, I'm all in on this. This is what I want to do consistently and what I want my main focus to be. And I think that in the short amount of time we've actually been working on this and the results we've garnered, I think it's totally possible.

So yeah, having said that, do with that what you will. I'm obviously going to announce this to the world for the sake of letting people know. Because a lot of the time, you know, I have friends that ask, "So what are you doing now?" When I tell them I'm doing this, they're like, "Wait, I didn't know you were doing that. We should work together." You know what I'm saying? So being able to actually announce on a platform which is dedicated to reaching people in a super nonchalant way and saying like this is what I do - I think it'll help us, at least for starters.

You know, I just want to make one small comment. I'm fully on board with this and fully on board with what you're saying.

What are you expecting out of this and what do you want out of it?

I also feel that right now - I don't know if Cam feels the same way, but I'm taking other jobs. Man, I hate it. It's frustrating sometimes, but you know, money runs the world, Miguel, right?

I think that's an important thing to know when you scale a company - the deeper you go into scaling, there's a good chance that within a year you're not doing half the things you are. You're just telling people to do them. You know?

Obviously, we need to continue in this trajectory because it's not going to be easy to get there. But at the end of the day, we have this little trio - we're essentially the upper echelon of a non-existent hierarchy. But with the goal of turning this into money and scaling it up, and eventually having maybe a group of six people that can do the work we do.

Not to mention, for example, the Luxury Collection account is a good example. We're subcontracting 30% of the work and getting a good amount of money from it. So I think we should shoot for getting as many of those types of clients as we can. Because at the end of the day, we can have 10 clients where we're doing 30% of the work and still making good money. It's a smaller piece per client, but it's a way bigger pie overall.

If we had 10 Luxury Collections, that's $30k a month we'd be making from that. So that's what I'm saying - I think it's going to get easier. Right now, obviously, we still have to work to get to that point, but yeah, I think this is totally a possibility. I see this as the main thing I want to do right now.

And you know, I hope you both feel the same way, with the full intention of scaling this business and making it work.

Did you make the banners? I'm about to show you guys our placeholder website.

No, I don't. I'm speaking from a design perspective. This is hysterical. What are you showing?

But I'm not missing it. I mean, I wasn't showing it on my computer. I didn't see the GIF at all. I'll show you some little hover animations.

Oh yeah, that's actually good to know. I mean, there are some cool things about it going on. It's a placeholder, guys. Come on.

But I mean, way better than what I was expecting, honestly. AI design is... it's still a little bit behind, you know?

Okay, but Mira, banner, check it out. I put in the... like, what the profile picture would be. Yeah, yeah, that's dope. I've talked about that. I'm about to send that to you.

Daya! Bye. Mama! I haven't seen the dog in a couple of days, bro. I'm hyped. Doggo? Big dogs? And Tom's is... Big dogs gotta eat? Luis, can you already upload it?

Yeah. Okay, but nah, upload it. But did you send it? Where did you send it? Did you send it to the wrong email again? No, hey, you're giving me a break. Sorry.

What are you doing? If I'm not, just send me a screenshot just to see if it renders wrong because of the measurements. They always change them and... just to see if I need to make some tweaks.

Just sent it. Yeah, just sent it. You sent it to the wrong email again, didn't you? No. I sent it to Luis, look at my screen.

Okay. Do you have my phone? Alright, listen, guys. I was trying my best to transcribe the meeting.

Taking a good look at this. Yeah, no, it looks blurry, and I think the size is too big. Let's see.

Okay, but man, it's cropping it weird because this is... See, so look. Okay, but like... Let me take a screenshot of this because I can kind of get the measurements out of this. Wait. All the way. Yeah, it's way shorter.

Okay, so what we have to do is, you know, from here on out, obviously we have a lot of fucking work. So I think genuinely, we kind of have to start creating these personal to-dos and really start thinking through how we're going to attack this. So naturally, Miguel, I'd say finish that logo. The logo looks dope as fuck. I really want you to finish that.

Marami, I'm gonna interrupt you just so I can finish this quick X on this shit. I can get the safety area and click X on it. Okay, and then you know, obviously, I know that we have a list of cold leads that we can reach out to.

Cam, I would say we need to figure out, one, how we're going to tap into all these leads. Obviously cold outreach, but we need to have kind of an automated way of booking some meetings with them. Do you have a Calendly?

What? I can make one.

And then that also means that we have to sync the Calendly to our Google Calendar and be very responsible about updating that Google Calendar.

Yeah, all the Google Calendar stuff would get updated automatically with Calendly, so that's okay. I mean, I just want to, you know, obviously, I just want to make sure that if I'm gonna be booked all fucking day doing calls and shit, I have to make sure that's not intruding in the times that I have to take care of the clients that we already do have.

Well, what I would suggest is you just selectively set your availability. Allow people to book it but don't allow any more than that.

Yeah, I would do 30-minute calls and I don't mind. I can do six hours a week. I can do fucking eight hours a week. I don't care. Like, if it means we're making more money off this, that's fine. It's more like, obviously, our meetings vary week to week, so it's important that we have that clear visibility of what we have going on, our production days, if I need to be there, all that type of stuff. Because, yeah, I don't want to have to say no to a client or have to reschedule because I didn't have visibility on what we have going on.

That's just mainly a responsibility for me, I guess. Let's just think about it and we can sort through the details and see how it works, make changes to our strategy and go from there.

Okay, so then from here on out, I just need you to finish the banner. I'm not going to do any social posts or anything right now because I'm not going to send a LinkedIn post at 9pm. But so what I need to happen this week—just for starters, we need to create a post for each of our LinkedIns just saying this is what we're doing today. We need a post for our personal pages and we need a post for our LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook pages. So that way, that can be kind of the same post. And that one's basically just going to be like some sort of graphic in the branding that you've created with copy saying like, this is what we do. And then the caption just basically being something rather branded.

I think we need like a tagline, you know, something that doesn't sound like... an AI issue?

No, yeah, something that doesn't sound like we're selling fucking menstrual products. Something with flow that doesn't sound like menstruation. But like, don't worry, I'll get to that.

All I can think of is tampons, Luis. What the fuck do we do? I love the idea of making some, you know, like—it's not rigid, like we just let it flow, but like that sounds like some feminist propaganda.

I'll dedicate myself to kind of working on that a bit tomorrow. I would like, tomorrow if possible, to actually activate the page and send this shit through and see what happens. Because I'm sure that just off like sending that LinkedIn post, at least five people are going to message me.

Whether they turn into clients or not, I don't think we can definitely get business off of this, but I think it's a good place to start, right? From there, we take out a good amount of time and dedicate at least once or twice a week—two hours to make two videos.

But how do these videos look in your head? I'm seeing kind of a talking head with some logo animation.

Yeah, because I don't want this to be unprofessional, but I want it to come off conversational. I think especially since we're so big on AI, we need to make an extra effort to humanize our company. Because otherwise, people get the impression that we're just paying for ChatGPT extra premium.

I think something that we can do is make the first video a little more cinematic. We're not only appealing to the idea that we use AI creatively for your business operations, but we also do content marketing and help you define your brand if needed. So I think we should do something along those lines. Something interesting to think about. We can talk about this throughout the week.

I think the first thing is we do a push that's just a post saying this is what we do—this is the company we started. From there, we're syncing whatever type of content we're creating for Instagram and repurposing it for LinkedIn. LinkedIn is big on long written posts, so we take the same content we're creating in video format, upload a static graphic representative of what we're talking about, and write out the caption.

I think we want to follow the three-posts-a-week rule. I mean, if you really want to go head down and grind the content, we want to do five to seven posts, but for starters, let's just focus on consistently getting three posts out. I have a background in content marketing already, so I trust your judgment with this entirely.

I would say this is all up to our next work, and we still need to do so much more. I think it would be a good strategy to maybe take this week and start banking content, just in case. If we could knock out eight posts every two weeks, that means we're set for two and a half weeks.

I know how to animate. It's basic animation, motion graphics, and we don't have to go out and film anything. I like the idea of making something cinematic. I think we have to be face forward with this. I don't mind talking into the camera and getting the shit done. I would eventually like for the entire team to show up and for people to know that you guys are there, but I get it if that's not something we want to do right now.

Cam, if you come to Puerto Rico, you're going to be forced to show up in the video. We'll do like a music video—like, how many Four Locos does this white boy have to drink before he stops coding?

I have no problem having funny posts as well. That shit goes viral. I think we have a blank canvas that we can work with. Since I don't want the tone of the company to be something very strict, professional, and serious, I think we want to come off as cool—like, we can get fucked up on a Saturday, but we do this shit for real. I like that idea.

It's kind of late over here, so I don't want this meeting to go on forever. I say we just put up these LinkedIn messages and tomorrow we do the effort of creating this LinkedIn post. I'll try to make samples for each of you. I think the idea should be each one of us talking about what we do specifically in the company. Miguel, in your case, it's more leaning towards the creative aspect. Talk about how you can create brand direction, create people's brand identities, and bring that to life through content.

I can touch on a little bit of both, creating those conversations that lead us there. Cam, in your case, you're absolutely creating insanely valuable tools for businesses. I think that's kind of the play.

We've also gotten at least one super solid case study with SEWA, which I'm going to absolutely abuse in the first couple of videos. Like, hey, you want this to happen? Then we show how SEWA's followers have gone up by 400 in the past couple months. That's the idea. We can get started on drafting the first couple of videos. I think the first video is obviously the classic—what do we do, who are we, etc.

An office-style sitcom. Dude, I kind of love the idea of doing something cinematic in the sense of, you know, we're better than you, bro. We're better than everybody. We can do something interesting. Like, give ourselves roles. You know, I get a call from a client and then from there I'm like, "We need this, this, and this stat." And that branches off into Miguel designing something on a blank canvas, painting on a blank canvas. And then it's like, we switch from that call to like Cam, locked in a fucking lab with 20 computers. Like, we can get creative, you know?

Like some moisturizer, 100 tissues... no, no, okay come on, bro. Not my wrist. Please check your email, I sent you another banner. See, let's see how it renders while you keep talking.

I'm sorry to interrupt you.

No, you're good. I'm just spitballing here, but I'm thinking of cool things that we could do that clearly separates us from other people who are doing this. You mentioned something that's a great point. Wait, what happened here? Yeah, this looks dope. My bad, fucking measurements are shit.

Uh-huh, keep talking.

Okay, I was gonna say, I think you mentioned a good point. Like, we work in AI and AI is obviously very rigid, and the people who work in AI are not cool at all. So I think the idea of humanizing AI and making a very user-friendly brand that people find approachable? How do you feel?

User-friendly, I love that. I need to write that down. I actually love that, como que? I got all of our expenses in a little spreadsheet, so I'll make sure to send that or put it in the Google Drive.

Hey Cam, fuck you bro.

Fuck you too, man.

You know what I thought before? We're kind of like Louie's Pokemon, you know? He's the guy who gets the face, all right? But if you think about it, the Pokemon are way cooler than us.

Hey, I'm not downgrading. If you're going to put it like that, it's like what's cooler—Ash Ketchum or Dragonite? Shit, dude.

Right. You're right. We're better. I'm degrading us.

I just thought it was funny. You're degrading us. Good fucking guy. I'm sorry.

All right. But yeah, so we got our marching orders.

Yeah, I think so. I know what I'm going to work on tomorrow. I have to record some B-roll for Francisco, which is fine. So I'll pretty much have the day. I'm going to set up a meeting—this doesn't really matter to you guys, but I'm going to try to set up a digital meeting with Luxury Collection people because we do have production with them on Friday. And then it's like 60 confirmed, okay, yeah, and then it's like a number, honestly. And then I'll work on the internal stuff like getting the first scripts for our content, trying to find a couple of content buckets, ideas, topics that we can touch base on from the creative standpoint, from the AI standpoint, all of that. But yeah, I'll get started on that too tomorrow.

Cam, I'd say in your case, obviously I know you have a bunch of shit to do, but I think your effort in terms of the internal stuff should be based on trying to source relatively good leads at volume and also try to hit the ones in Puerto Rico too, because I'll do a cold email outreach and whip it up right. But yeah, let's give a little revamp to the list that we initially had and start thinking about how we're going to structure the email blast that we would be doing and the automations that will follow that, right? Because we have to answer 10,000 emails. We're never gonna fucking leave the house.

Then Miguel, you know what you have to do, bro? Make that shit pretty, buddy.

Yeah, make that shit pretty, basically.

Man, that's my favorite part, bro. That's what you need to do. Not pretty. Hey, not pretty. Sexy. Optimize.

Oh, sorry. Optimized doesn't like, honestly, that does not do it for me. Like I get it with AI optimization. No, I'm not saying it because of that. I can't just be making Freddy out of it for the sake of Freddy.

Yeah, you need to make it sexy at optimal levels, dude. You need to make it pretty with a purpose.

There you go. Exacto. Now that's good design. If it works, it's going to be sexy.

At the end, you know? Yeah, obviously I think we need to make some static content as well, just stuff that we can pin to our profiles and whatnot. But we will cross that bridge when we get there. I think we're good. I think this is a good conversation because the real job starts now, you know what I'm saying? We've been playing pretend for the last couple of months, but making money while playing pretend. So that's great. But we need to start making actual money. And I think that the second that we actually start seeing that... like, I don't want to discredit the effort because obviously it takes balls for three people to sit down and think, "Hey, let's make a company and see what happens." But I genuinely think that this is going to be a lot easier than we expect it to be with the right tools in our hands. So like, if we can actually fucking end—in the next two months we have 20 clients, we're literally making bank, you know what I'm saying? Like 20 clients, we're making like 11K with like stick 7, whatever. Whatever.

Seven clients—imagine that times three—that's thirty-three grand. And suddenly we can pay ourselves like six grand a month and still have twelve k for expenses. You know, that's nice, bro. That's a really good point to start off.

Yeah, way to go. I'm proud of you. Going to another banner—I know I'm uploading it right now. So many banners, dude. I hate this. They're never clear with their measurements and the safety guides, so the profile picture doesn't block it. Why is that so hard?

Yeah, so ninety percent of startups fail. And we're fucking idiots for trying to start our own company. But we're doing this shit. And we're doing it for real. And we're doing great thus far. And we're going to keep doing it. We're doing great.

You know what, Cam? I know what you're saying. But like, also, ninety percent of startups fail because... yeah, here, no, it shouldn't be cropping like that. Is that the noise? Okay, I read this shit. Come on. Your fucking company ones have a different measurement than the personal ones. Well, let me see if the other one works.

Anyway, Cam, I understand what you're saying. Yeah, I mean, I was being a little facetious. So yeah, but I also think like, realistically... what's up? Oh look, that works. But I'll check to see if it renders pixel perfect. I have it open on my computer. It kind of looks like ass. No, it looks good. It's great. Michelle, great, just let it stay.

What I was saying though is that, Cam, the reality of our situation is that we're able to do a lot with a little. So, you know, I think with a proper marketing push—because again, I'm not saying this is what we're going to do for the rest of our lives. But if we can make a couple hundred thousand dollars doing this for the next three years, I think that'll set us up for our next big play.

Yeah, well, I wasn't trying to say like, "Oh, we shouldn't start a company." I was just trying to say we're ballsy for doing it. Right. And I think we can make this work. Let's be entrepreneurial. Oh Jesus, died for our sins. Jesus died for our sins. Join the club, dude. Did you send me another one?

No, I sent you the other last one. What's that? You're trying to link? So are you gonna put out a post, Cam? When's the post? Post it whenever you want, bro.

Also, if you want to—this is your doubt—you're far off of what I would have said. And I'm a tad nervous that I'm gonna blow my cover posting.

Okay, then you don't have to post. I'm happy to put it on my LinkedIn and claim it without publishing about my new step that I'm taking without alerting my employers.

Yeah, yeah, absolutely. I agree. But then we can—with the brand and be—it'll probably be—we got shit popping and I don't really need my old job. I don't think it's that crazy. I don't think it's that crazy for, you know, like—we have done zero marketing. Like, absolutely zero type of client outreach. I don't think it's crazy that by July we have fifteen clients. I don't think it's crazy that by August we have twenty.

I'm on the same page. I mean, I think we're—let's make it noticeable. Remember that in Puerto Rico there aren't people that are doing this, and if there are, they're not doing it right. So let's launch it with that very specific angle. And I think we're going to do pretty good for ourselves.

Okay. Yeah. So then there's another half of the United States that we need to hit. I think that's just a quarter of the United States we had. I think there's a whole lot more of the United States to fucking, you know, reach out to. For all the money. Luis?

Yeah?

Okay, do you want to share with us the ideas you had for your shirts?

Shirts? I didn't have any ideas. I just—yeah, okay.

Shirts, though? Yeah, like, I like shirts. I just wanted to do something. I just wanted to fucking do this. Get like a t-shirt and put our fucking logo on it. Yeah, and we can get a hoodie for Cam. And then I'm gonna get a polo—Flow Systems. And I'm gonna play golf with this. And then I'm gonna go play golf with millionaires using this polo with a fucking logo on it. I want my shorts to say FS instead of GH on them. No? Like, okay. Word.

But that's something we can work on. I'm definitely going to make an order soon, just because I want to have something. But I want to do it with the cool logo. Let's go. Be cool, dude. You guys, it is cool. Let me just do the shirt. Go ahead, just do the shirt, that bro. All right, I'm gonna hang up. Bye, guys. Bye, guys. I'm doing that too, but you can't see. Okay, you guys know what to do. We'll cut your face tomorrow. Good night. Bye. No. Sounds about fair. I'm not. You must start seeing. No, bro. I was...

**System Audio:**
Thank you. How are you doing, Baler? You are not forgiven. How could we ever forgive him? Nope. I have a headache.

Wait, is that what we want to use for the logo? I said an icon, but I wouldn't put the full logo as a profile picture. There is a vertical version. I could send you this, but we already have one. What about the flow? I like that. I wanted to mention—it's a direction I really like initially, but right now I'm trying to force it by making it legible, and I don't think it's come across well. I can show it to you, but I wouldn't present it. It doesn't look like a finished logo. I feel like maybe we should just leave this for later. Yeah, I have a fucking mess with my files.

I have all these iterations, but I think maybe we should leave this for later. When I finally have time to develop it further and make it animated, this could be like our animated identity stuff. This feels incomplete to me. There are 20 different versions. There is something there, but the concept is lost. I don't see it working. Sure, it might look cool, but I wouldn't present it at least yet. What I have for our brand is these two logos and our icons, which are over here. We could also present this as green.

Yes, I feel you. I really like the logo. I like the idea, but I don't think it's there yet. I would prefer to leave it for later because it doesn't hurt us at all. Just leave it for later and have it well developed. Just send that one to me for now. I would like to switch it later on, but I'm a little bummed out, I'm not going to lie. I really liked it.

So, is that how big you want it? I saw with a couple of profile pictures—LinkedIn crops a lot. You can adjust it there, so it's no biggie. I'm just giving you some white space so it's not too tight any way you crop it. Let me try something. Like that. That looks good. I like it too. Yeah, it needs to be 300 by 300 by the way.

It's a stamp. It's our stamp, it's our mark at Slime Greens. I'm going to go. I made it, Doug. You have the measurements for the banner, Luis? I'm creating the first cam for contacts and making the LinkedIn version. Did you say you haven't received that? Did you send it to the wrong email? I sent it to Luis. Yes, I did send it to the wrong email. It's all good. Thank you.

Okay, I created it. Why is the screen so fucking bright? So bright. Oh, I do believe that. Also, Cam, the Flow System website seems to be down. Yeah, I saw that.

Some measurements here. It says that for company pages it's different than personal pages, not really better. Okay, I think I got it. Whatever. You can even call it our website. Yeah, honestly, just as a placeholder, can we try to use the samples of what you made, Miguel? Obviously, it's not going to be perfect, but I think it's better than the AI stuff.

Here, do what? No, guy, I don't want the AI slop we had. The one you made is still going to be sloppy. I know, but it's going to be better than whatever we had. Okay, full. You can put mine.

Email from... oh. What do you mean? Invalid URL format. Dot dot live. It says invalid URL format. No, no, no, let me hold on. I'll show you. What the fuck? Yeah, bro, you're fucked. I'm getting shit on right now. What the fuck?

Okay, well, while we figure all of this out. The other thing I wanted to touch base on—something I mentioned to Cam about—is that I think what I'm going to start doing. I'm not entirely sure if this is the right way to do it, but I'm considering giving us a salary. Obviously, we're not making a huge amount of money right now, but based on the clients we have, I think we can pay $2,000 a month for each of us right now.

So I'm thinking for now we're going to start there. Obviously, as we scale, we can give ourselves raises and whatnot, but I think this is just the fairest way of paying all of us and maintaining a healthy bank account.

There are a lot of things we're not taking into consideration here, like taxes and write-offs. We need to spend money, obviously, because at the end of the year we could do this as dividends, but then we'd have to pay capital gains tax if we don't have an incentive that blocks that, which is something at least Miguel and I can do. I don't know about you, Cam. You could just move to Puerto Rico, right? But yeah, that's kind of where I'm heading. I think it's a good place to start.

I was thinking of doing like $2,500 a month, which would obviously be better for having our personal wallets up, but dude, what is going on? Another admin is trying to make changes to this page at the same time as you. Please try again. What's happening, bro? Yeah, maybe two tabs open? Is that it? Maybe not, it doesn't seem like it.

Anyway, that's kind of why I'm shooting for it to be lower. Because I'm not entirely sure where we're at in terms of expenses. Obviously, there are a lot of expenses you have that we need to touch base on, and that's also part of why I wanted to have this call. If you could create—I know you had a worksheet on the expenses you're incurring right now—that I can provide to... I'm sorry.

I need something that gives the accountant full scope of money coming in and out. That would be great because obviously it's better if we have visibility into all the cash flow.

Let me stop sharing and see if I can do this. I'll close this real quick. But yeah, we should definitely get that rolling. I think 2K is a good starting point.

How do I deactivate the page? I'm getting an error. By the way, nice haircut. I feel that. Why does it say invalid domain for this? No, it's asking for an email. Can I see the original one, just out of curiosity?

You need to remember, I did our first ship and after two weeks I looked at it and it actually looks pretty cool. I'm not going to lie. Where's the old logo? Yeah, it's the pattern on it. You said it. I'm just not good at listening. Can I just pass on this? Yeah, whatever. I'm just going to work.

Should I get the codebase or can I just build my own? I've tried to log into Cloudflare and I just get lost. We have to include the content marketing side of all of this as well. In terms of the website, right now it's only the UI stuff. I have no expectations of doing any cloud design work at this point.

It seems to have worked. Small win. This is so weird—it keeps saying another admin is trying to make changes to this page at the same time as you. It's okay. Do you have like two tabs open, Luis? No. It's okay. At least it saved. I can leave it as is. We don't have a website for now. Now that that's done, I can actually talk without sounding like I'm having an aneurysm.

What I was saying is I think the best thing we can do right now is start paying ourselves. Obviously we all have expenses. Cam, I know you're doing pretty well right now, so I'm happy for you. Still, I'd like to pay you. I mean, if you want to just build equity in the company, that doesn't really make sense because if I'm paying myself and I'm paying Miguel, we're just taking money from your equity.

That's not really a problem for me because as soon as we have enough money, I'm going to pull funds to my account anyway. I'm going to pay myself back. That's not what worries me. I think the goal here is to start—and we're already there. We're generating more than we're spending. Right off the bat, we're already in profit. The important thing is that we consistently have money in that bank account.

Right now, 6K is maybe 60% of what we're making monthly. Let's say we're earning like 10K, maybe 11K monthly from the accounts we already have. Needless to say, that can get better. My short-term goal is to start hitting 20K months. Naturally, for that, we have to get all of this branding in place, exhaust our sphere of influence, and actually start doing cold outreach. If we can get 0.5% of 10% of the 10,000 leads, that's still 500 clients. That's a lot. Even if it's for simple touch-and-go products, it's still a lot. Needless to say, there's definitely a big market for this. We just have to attack it accordingly.

We need to work on what our content looks like. I have no problem filming, creating content, and posting on LinkedIn and all that, but baby steps. I made the LinkedIn page with the idea of getting this linked to our company's LinkedIn, and that's definitely something I want to get sorted now.

I think LinkedIn for starters will be good because there's probably an extended sphere of influence we're just not hitting because people have no idea what we're doing. The first step is hitting that sphere of influence—our connections, people we know who might have certain positions in companies that could benefit from our services. They'll be more inclined to talk with us before another service provider because they know us. I think LinkedIn will be good for that. I'm definitely going to do socials too—LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook. We can do Google ad campaigns and Meta ad campaigns. I don't want to be too aggressive with the budget right now. At first, I'd rather do cold email outreach. We already have so many leads and we haven't even exhausted them. I believe all those leads were outside of Puerto Rico, but we can actually get leads inside Puerto Rico too. I'm sure there's a lot of companies we can touch base with. I don't think it's that crazy considering we're this deep in and we're about to hit double digits with how many clients we have.

I think it's crazy to think that in two months we can double that, considering that we've really only been working at this since the beginning of March. Yeah, I think that's kind of the plan.

I'd start with the email outreach. I'd start with the LinkedIn. I'd do a LinkedIn post on my own profile saying, you know, after four years of working on an entertainment startup, I decided to switch gears and start doing this. People are going to be like, "Ah, congrats. Wow, that's so brave." I suggest both of you do the same thing because we all know we have different spheres of influence, and that's just kind of a way that maybe we could get a couple more deals on the table. I don't think that it's necessarily going to be something like we're going to get our bulk of clients from, but it's a good start. Follow that up with email marketing and cold outreach, then follow that up with an actual marketing push in terms of creating good videos and getting good content out. So people want to be like, "Oh shit, I want to work with these people." Yeah. So I think that's kind of how we're going to work at it.

Needless to say, I think we're already at that point. I know I'm exhausting my sphere of influence, and luckily it's worked to our benefit. There's still some people that I want to touch base with that I know I can get clients from, and that sphere of influence is also growing. But we need to start finding other ways of keeping clients. Because for all I know, the clients that we have right now, next month they could turn their back and say, "I don't want to pay for this anymore." And then we're shit out of luck. So we need to figure out a way to just keep that influx of cash coming in.

And again, I really think that if we can continuously get clients, even if we don't retain them, that's just a way of making sure that we're still making money. We've talked a lot about reaching out and doing websites and landing pages. I'm like, okay, man, we haven't even started with that. I think that would also be a great starting point where we don't have to worry about retaining clients and cash flow. Right, I agree. Yeah, so definitely a lot of touch-and-go products would be nice, and then just try to find clients that we can keep on retainers so we can have a couple of cash cows as we get these touch-and-go products going. But yeah, that's kind of how I see it, at least right now. Things can change as they tend to. But I'd say we start here.

I really wanted to have this meeting just to make sure that we're all on the same page. I wanted to make the LinkedIn page just so we can update our LinkedIn things. Cam, I don't know if you're in a weird situation with your startup, so I don't know if this is something that you can really make public. I'm quoting you by the way.

Yeah, and I mean, to be fair, obviously, I'm definitely shooting for this. I think it's totally understandable that all of us have these side hustles, but I really think that this is something that we can build out in the next five years and make really good money off of it. I can't say for certain that this is something we can do for the next five years because AI grows at a pace like no other. So for all I know, in the next three years, we're completely obsolete. But while it's still viable, I think we have to go for it.

And then, you know, at the end of the day, we're gonna have a stacked resume and can kind of, you know, if it ends up being the type of thing where we just can't continue doing this company, we can sell the company if we're at that point. If we've scaled at that point, we can sell the company or call it quits and we can find ourselves jobs with all the experience that we've mounted up. You know what I'm saying?

So I obviously am all in on this, that this is what I want to do consistently and this is what I want my main thing to be. And I think that, you know, in the short amount of time that we've actually been working this and being able to garner the results that we have, I think it's totally possible. So, yeah, I think that said, do with that what you will. I'm obviously going to announce to the world that we're doing this for the sake of letting people know that we're doing this.

Because a lot of the time I have friends that will ask, "So what are you doing now?" And when I tell them, they're like, "Wait, I didn't know you were doing that. We should work together." You know what I'm saying? So being able to actually announce on a platform which is pretty much dedicated to letting people broadcast in a super nonchalant way and say, "This is what I do," I think it'll help us. At least for starters.

Nice. I just want to make this small comment. I'm fully on board with what you're saying. I'm also taking other jobs right now. I don't know if Cam feels the same way, but I'm taking other jobs and, man, I hate it. It's kind of frustrating sometimes, but you know, that's the world. But I also think that's an important thing to know when you scale a company: the farther deep you go into scaling, there's a good chance that within a year you're not doing half the things that you're doing. You're just telling people to do the things that you're doing, you know?

Like you know, obviously we need to continue in this trajectory because it's not going to be easy to get there. But at the end of the day, we have this little trio and we're essentially the upper echelon of a non-existent hierarchy, but with the goal of, hey, let's fucking turn this into some money and scale the business and eventually maybe have a group of six people that can do the work that we do. Not to mention, for example, I think the luxury collection account is a good example where we're doing essentially 30% of the work and we're getting a good amount of money paid. Right. So I think we should shoot for getting as many of those types of clients as we can. Because at the end of the day, if we can have 10 clients where we're doing 30% of the work and making 75% of the money—like, we still have expenses, it's a smaller piece of the pie, but it's a way bigger pie, right? If we had 10 clients like that, that's 30k a month we'd be making off that.

So that's what I'm saying. I think it's going to get easier right now. Obviously we still have a lot of work to get to that point. But yeah, I think this is totally a possibility. This is the main thing that I want to do right now. And you know, I hope that both of you do as well, with the full intention of let's scale this business and actually fucking make it work.

Did you make the banners? See, I'm about to show you.

No, speaking from a design perspective. This is better. This is hysterical. Let me see what you're showing. Let me open it up.

Okay. Yeah, that was actually cool. There are some cool things about it. Way better than what I was expecting, honestly. It's a little bit behind, you know, but I'm gonna check it out. I put in like what the profile picture would be. Yeah, that's dope. I fuck with that. I'm about to send that to you, mama.

I haven't seen the dog in a couple of days, bro. I'm hyped.

Did you send it? Where did you send it? To the wrong email again? No, hey, give me a break. Let me...

All right. I keep calling you for the first time. No clue where that came from anyways.

How was your weekend? What the fuck? Can you not hear me?

I don't hear about that. Yeah, I haven't seen any of that. Circles. Yeah, I agree with that. Mm-hmm. But she is she.

Yeah, I fell asleep. Oops. You're good. I sent you the invite. Alright, sweet, that's perfect. I'll see you in a second. Alright, peace. Bye.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I don't mean that being bad at all. Sorry for the wait. You are not forgiven. Nah, I figured. I'll throw it together. Fucking figure it out. Nothing I can do is right. Nope.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
What's new? Nothing's new. I have a headache. Oh, that's down there. Sounds like something I'm going to talk to the doctor about.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Is that how big you want it? I saw with a couple profile pictures, LinkedIn crops a lot. You can adjust it there. I'm just giving you some white space so it's not too tight. Let me try something. I like that. That looks good. I like it too. Yeah, it needs to be 300 by 300, by the way. Okay. It's like a stamp.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
That's certified. I'm going to go to the meeting. She pulls up anywhere. No invite. Okay, I'll make that banner for you right now. Let me just make the two. Can I get the measurements for the banner? No, I need to finish creating the first one. I'm making the LinkedIn. Did you send it to the email? No, I sent it to Louise. Yes, I did send it to the wrong email. Okay, it's all good.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
What happened to your uniform? Okay, I created it. Now, is this really so thick? Fucking bright. So bright. Our futures are so bright. Oh, I do, but I can't believe that. I'm going to get... Also, Cam, the Flow System website seems to be down. Is it? Yeah, maybe the fact that we're calling it a website is crazy, but it does appear to be down.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Oh, I forgot to send you guys the fucking recordings. Yeah, bro, you're fucked. I know, dude. I know. I forgot how to type. Yeah, there we go. I'm getting shit on right now. There's a chance that has something to do with the fact that the site is throwing errors, but I don't think it is. Okay, well, while we figure all of this out, the other thing that I wanted to touch base on was something that I mentioned to Cam about.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
So I think what I'm going to start doing—I'm not entirely sure if this is the right way to do it, but I'm considering giving us a salary. So obviously we're not making a huge amount of money right now, but I think based off the clients that we have, we can pay $2,000 a month for each of us right now. I'm thinking for now, we're probably going to start there. Obviously, as we scale, we can give ourselves raises and whatnot. But I think this is the fairest way of paying all of us and maintaining a healthy bank account.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
There are a lot of things that we're not taking into consideration here, like taxes and write-offs, et cetera. We need to think about spending money on expenses, because at the end of the year, we could do this as dividends, but then we'd have to pay capital gains tax if we don't have an incentive that blocks that—which is something that at least Miguel and I can do. I don't know about you, Cam.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Nope.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Would be nice. But I mean, you could just move to Puerto Rico, right?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
No.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
That's a really good point. But yeah, so at least that's kind of where I'm heading. I think it's a good place to start. I was thinking of doing $2,500 a month, which obviously would be better in the summer in terms of having our personal wallets up, but what is happening? Another admin is trying to make changes to this page at the same time as you. Please try again.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
It's gotta be you, dude.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, sure. Two tabs open maybe?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Is that it?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
No, it doesn't seem like it.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Here we go. Anyway, yeah, so I think you're going to talk hopefully on Wednesday with the accountant. I'm sure there's a little bit of calculus that we're going to need to do with the expenses that we have on a monthly basis. I'm sure that'll slightly modify how much the salaries need to be.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
That's kind of why I'm shooting for it to be lower. Because I'm not entirely sure where we're at in terms of expenses. Obviously, there are a lot of expenses that you have that we need to touch base on. And that's also part of why I wanted to have this call. So if you could create—I know you kind of had a worksheet on the expenses that you're incurring right now that I can give to the accountant, that would be great. Obviously, it's just going to be better if we have the full scope of how much money is coming in and how much money is going out.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, I'll double-check on everything. But yeah, I mean I don't think it's gonna be difficult to get all that rolling. Yeah, I think $2k is like a good starting point.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Where do I... my pages? How do I deactivate the page? No, thanks, man. It's just another take on the same shit.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, ways to hide my heroin masterclass. I feel that. Bro, why does it say invalid domain for this?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
What are you typing, HTTPS?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
No, it's asking for an email. I don't know. Why is it the old logo?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
What the fuck, dude? They're the OG one? It's got the OG one, it's the favicon, or whatever, and the new one all over the site.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Can I see that? Just out of curiosity.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, I'll share my screen really quick. I just noticed something.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Well, you need to add in—you know, I did our first ship, and like after two weeks I looked at it, but uh it actually looks pretty cool.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
What the fuck? It's good. The whole 3D logo thing is down in the corner. What the fuck? Over here?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Okay. Anyways, sorry. Where's the... What's the old going on? What, the old... oh, it's up here. Ah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Ah, the pentagon, okay, yeah, yeah.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
You said it. Um, I don't know, can I just say better, I guess? Yeah, whatever. I'm not gonna say anything. I'm just gonna go to work. It's okay. The second you got someone ready, we'll replace the slob. Anyways, should I get that code base or can I just build my own?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Bro, I've tried to log into CloudFlare and I just lost. We'll do another session, dude. Don't even stress. Can you get the new logo as the favicon?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
What are you saying, Luis? That you have to include their logo terms of the website because right now it's only that?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, yeah. Uh, totally. Um, yeah, I mean it just kept the original and responsive. Honestly, I have no expectations regarding design at this point.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Okay, it seems to have worked. Yay! Small win. I'll take those. Yeah, so for whatever reason, let me see something here. A bitmap? What? Yeah. That is so weird. It keeps saying another admin is trying to make changes.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Two tabs open, Luis?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
No. It's okay. At least it's safe, the information. Like, I can leave it as is. We don't have a website for now. But anyway, so okay, now that that's done, I can actually talk without sounding like I'm having an aneurysm.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
So what I was saying was, I think the best thing we can do right now is just start paying ourselves. Obviously, we all have expenses and stuff. Cam, I know that you said you're doing pretty good for yourself right now, so I'm happy for you. But I just wanted to tell you—I mean, if you just want to build equity in the company, I guess, but like that just doesn't make sense to me.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Because if I'm paying myself and I'm paying Miguel, we're just kind of taking money from your equity.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Oh, no, I get that. And I'm also not trying to make it difficult for us to manage our books either. I just wanted to make sure that it was known that I'm in no rush on my end specifically.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Which is fine. And you also beat us with the $3k that you put in.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
So I'm trying to first rack up the game—a third of that is 3,000. Which is fine, but that's not really a problem for me because as soon as we have enough money, I'm just going to pull that money to my account anyway. You know what I'm saying? I'm just going to pay myself back. So that's not really what worries me.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I think the goal here is that we just start, which we're already there. You know, we're obviously generating more than what we're spending, so like I'm just off rip—like we're already in profit. The important thing is that we consistently have money in that bank account. So, you know, right now, 6k is maybe like 60% of what we're making monthly. So let's say we're ripping like 10k, maybe 11k monthly off the accounts that we already have, right?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Needless to say, that can get better. I think that my short-term goal is that we start hitting 20k months. But naturally for that, we kind of have to have all of this branding kicked in. We have to exhaust our sphere of influence. And we need to actually start doing a little bit of cold outreach. Because again, you know, if we can get 0.5% of 10,000 leads, like that's still 500 clients. You know what I'm saying? That's a lot. Even if it's for, like, the dumbest shit, like just touch and go type of product, it's still a lot, you know?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
So needless to say, there's definitely a big market for this. We just have to attack it accordingly. You know, we need to work on what our content would look like. You know, I have no problem like filming and doing different types of stuff like creating LinkedIn posts and all that, but, you know, baby steps, right? You know, so I made the LinkedIn with the idea of, like, obviously getting this link to our LinkedIn. And that's definitely something that I want to get sorted now.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
What do you think is going to be our... I think that, okay, so first off, I think that really depends because it depends on how we scale. I think LinkedIn for starters is going to be good because there's probably an extended sphere of influence that we're just not hitting because people have no idea what the fuck we're doing, right? So I think, you know, first starters, like just hitting that sphere of influence of connections—people that we know that may have like certain positions in companies that could benefit from the services we have—they'll be more inclined to talk with us before they talk with another service provider that does the same things we do because they know us, right?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I don't think that it's necessarily going to be something that like we're going to get our bulk of clients from, but like it's a good start. Follow that up with email marketing cold outreach. Follow that up with an actual first marketing push in terms of creating good videos, getting good content out, so people want to be like, "Oh, shit, I want to work with these people." So I think that's kind of how we're going to work at it.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Needless to say, I think we're already at that point. I know I'm exhausting my sphere of influence, and luckily it's working to our benefit. And there's still some people that I want to touch base with that I know I can get clients out of. That sphere of influence is also growing. But, you know, we need to start finding other ways of keeping clients, right? Because for all I know, the clients that we have right now, next month they turn their back and they're like, "I don't want to pay for this anymore." And then we're shit out of luck.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
So we need to figure out a way to just keep that influx of cash coming in. And again, I really think that if we can just kind of continuously get clients, even if we don't retain them, that's just a way of making sure that we're still making bread.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Let's see. We've talked a lot about this. Basically, I agree with you. We talked a lot about reaching out and doing websites and pages. We haven't even started with that.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I think that would also be a great starting point where we don't have to worry about retaining clients and keeping cash flow. I agree. Yeah, so definitely, there are a lot of kind of touch-and-go products, which would be nice. And then, just try to find clients that we can keep on retainers so we can have a couple of cash cows while we're getting these things going, right? But yeah, that's kind of how I see it, at least right now.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
You know, things can change as they tend to. But yeah, so I'd say we start here. I really wanted to have this meeting just to make sure that we're all on the same page. And I wanted to set up the LinkedIn page so we can also update our profile.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
If you're in a weird situation with your startup, I don't know if this is something you can really make public.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, it's going to be... I'll probably have to not do it immediately.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I'm getting to the point where I don't give a fuck, but...
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Sorry, what was that?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
What?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I said, don't give a fuck, bro. I'm quoting you.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, I mean, so I'm definitely not supposed to have multiple jobs in my current position. Previously, all of the work that I've done for other companies has gone under the radar and not on my record.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, and to be fair, you know, obviously, I think it's totally understandable that all of us have these side hustles. But I really think this is something we can build out in the next few years. And again, I'm at the point where I don't really care if they fire me. For the next five years, I want to build this and make really good money off of it.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
So yeah, having said that, do with that what you will. I'm obviously going to announce this to the world for the sake of letting people know. Because a lot of the time, you know, I have friends that ask, "So what are you doing now?" When I tell them I'm doing this, they're like, "Wait, I didn't know you were doing that. We should work together." You know what I'm saying? So being able to actually announce on a platform which is dedicated to reaching people in a super nonchalant way and saying like this is what I do - I think it'll help us, at least for starters.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
You know, I just want to make one small comment. I'm fully on board with this and fully on board with what you're saying.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
What are you expecting out of this and what do you want out of it?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I also feel that right now - I don't know if Cam feels the same way, but I'm taking other jobs. Man, I hate it. It's frustrating sometimes, but you know, money runs the world, Miguel, right?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I think that's an important thing to know when you scale a company - the deeper you go into scaling, there's a good chance that within a year you're not doing half the things you are. You're just telling people to do them. You know?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Obviously, we need to continue in this trajectory because it's not going to be easy to get there. But at the end of the day, we have this little trio - we're essentially the upper echelon of a non-existent hierarchy. But with the goal of turning this into money and scaling it up, and eventually having maybe a group of six people that can do the work we do.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Not to mention, for example, the Luxury Collection account is a good example. We're subcontracting 30% of the work and getting a good amount of money from it. So I think we should shoot for getting as many of those types of clients as we can. Because at the end of the day, we can have 10 clients where we're doing 30% of the work and still making good money. It's a smaller piece per client, but it's a way bigger pie overall.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
If we had 10 Luxury Collections, that's $30k a month we'd be making from that. So that's what I'm saying - I think it's going to get easier. Right now, obviously, we still have to work to get to that point, but yeah, I think this is totally a possibility. I see this as the main thing I want to do right now.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
And you know, I hope you both feel the same way, with the full intention of scaling this business and making it work.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Did you make the banners? I'm about to show you guys our placeholder website.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
No, I don't. I'm speaking from a design perspective. This is hysterical. What are you showing?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
But I'm not missing it. I mean, I wasn't showing it on my computer. I didn't see the GIF at all. I'll show you some little hover animations.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Oh yeah, that's actually good to know. I mean, there are some cool things about it going on. It's a placeholder, guys. Come on.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
But I mean, way better than what I was expecting, honestly. AI design is... it's still a little bit behind, you know?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Okay, but Mira, banner, check it out. I put in the... like, what the profile picture would be. Yeah, yeah, that's dope. I've talked about that. I'm about to send that to you.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Daya! Bye. Mama! I haven't seen the dog in a couple of days, bro. I'm hyped. Doggo? Big dogs? And Tom's is... Big dogs gotta eat? Luis, can you already upload it?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah. Okay, but nah, upload it. But did you send it? Where did you send it? Did you send it to the wrong email again? No, hey, you're giving me a break. Sorry.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
What are you doing? If I'm not, just send me a screenshot just to see if it renders wrong because of the measurements. They always change them and... just to see if I need to make some tweaks.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Just sent it. Yeah, just sent it. You sent it to the wrong email again, didn't you? No. I sent it to Luis, look at my screen.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Okay. Do you have my phone? Alright, listen, guys. I was trying my best to transcribe the meeting.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Taking a good look at this. Yeah, no, it looks blurry, and I think the size is too big. Let's see.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Okay, but man, it's cropping it weird because this is... See, so look. Okay, but like... Let me take a screenshot of this because I can kind of get the measurements out of this. Wait. All the way. Yeah, it's way shorter.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Okay, so what we have to do is, you know, from here on out, obviously we have a lot of fucking work. So I think genuinely, we kind of have to start creating these personal to-dos and really start thinking through how we're going to attack this. So naturally, Miguel, I'd say finish that logo. The logo looks dope as fuck. I really want you to finish that.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Marami, I'm gonna interrupt you just so I can finish this quick X on this shit. I can get the safety area and click X on it. Okay, and then you know, obviously, I know that we have a list of cold leads that we can reach out to.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Cam, I would say we need to figure out, one, how we're going to tap into all these leads. Obviously cold outreach, but we need to have kind of an automated way of booking some meetings with them. Do you have a Calendly?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
What? I can make one.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
And then that also means that we have to sync the Calendly to our Google Calendar and be very responsible about updating that Google Calendar.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, all the Google Calendar stuff would get updated automatically with Calendly, so that's okay. I mean, I just want to, you know, obviously, I just want to make sure that if I'm gonna be booked all fucking day doing calls and shit, I have to make sure that's not intruding in the times that I have to take care of the clients that we already do have.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Well, what I would suggest is you just selectively set your availability. Allow people to book it but don't allow any more than that.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, I would do 30-minute calls and I don't mind. I can do six hours a week. I can do fucking eight hours a week. I don't care. Like, if it means we're making more money off this, that's fine. It's more like, obviously, our meetings vary week to week, so it's important that we have that clear visibility of what we have going on, our production days, if I need to be there, all that type of stuff. Because, yeah, I don't want to have to say no to a client or have to reschedule because I didn't have visibility on what we have going on.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
That's just mainly a responsibility for me, I guess. Let's just think about it and we can sort through the details and see how it works, make changes to our strategy and go from there.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I think we need like a tagline, you know, something that doesn't sound like... an AI issue?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
No, yeah, something that doesn't sound like we're selling fucking menstrual products. Something with flow that doesn't sound like menstruation. But like, don't worry, I'll get to that.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
All I can think of is tampons, Luis. What the fuck do we do? I love the idea of making some, you know, like—it's not rigid, like we just let it flow, but like that sounds like some feminist propaganda.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I'll dedicate myself to kind of working on that a bit tomorrow. I would like, tomorrow if possible, to actually activate the page and send this shit through and see what happens. Because I'm sure that just off like sending that LinkedIn post, at least five people are going to message me.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Whether they turn into clients or not, I don't think we can definitely get business off of this, but I think it's a good place to start, right? From there, we take out a good amount of time and dedicate at least once or twice a week—two hours to make two videos.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
But how do these videos look in your head? I'm seeing kind of a talking head with some logo animation.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, because I don't want this to be unprofessional, but I want it to come off conversational. I think especially since we're so big on AI, we need to make an extra effort to humanize our company. Because otherwise, people get the impression that we're just paying for ChatGPT extra premium.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I think something that we can do is make the first video a little more cinematic. We're not only appealing to the idea that we use AI creatively for your business operations, but we also do content marketing and help you define your brand if needed. So I think we should do something along those lines. Something interesting to think about. We can talk about this throughout the week.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I think the first thing is we do a push that's just a post saying this is what we do—this is the company we started. From there, we're syncing whatever type of content we're creating for Instagram and repurposing it for LinkedIn. LinkedIn is big on long written posts, so we take the same content we're creating in video format, upload a static graphic representative of what we're talking about, and write out the caption.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I think we want to follow the three-posts-a-week rule. I mean, if you really want to go head down and grind the content, we want to do five to seven posts, but for starters, let's just focus on consistently getting three posts out. I have a background in content marketing already, so I trust your judgment with this entirely.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I would say this is all up to our next work, and we still need to do so much more. I think it would be a good strategy to maybe take this week and start banking content, just in case. If we could knock out eight posts every two weeks, that means we're set for two and a half weeks.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I know how to animate. It's basic animation, motion graphics, and we don't have to go out and film anything. I like the idea of making something cinematic. I think we have to be face forward with this. I don't mind talking into the camera and getting the shit done. I would eventually like for the entire team to show up and for people to know that you guys are there, but I get it if that's not something we want to do right now.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Cam, if you come to Puerto Rico, you're going to be forced to show up in the video. We'll do like a music video—like, how many Four Locos does this white boy have to drink before he stops coding?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I have no problem having funny posts as well. That shit goes viral. I think we have a blank canvas that we can work with. Since I don't want the tone of the company to be something very strict, professional, and serious, I think we want to come off as cool—like, we can get fucked up on a Saturday, but we do this shit for real. I like that idea.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
It's kind of late over here, so I don't want this meeting to go on forever. I say we just put up these LinkedIn messages and tomorrow we do the effort of creating this LinkedIn post. I'll try to make samples for each of you. I think the idea should be each one of us talking about what we do specifically in the company. Miguel, in your case, it's more leaning towards the creative aspect. Talk about how you can create brand direction, create people's brand identities, and bring that to life through content.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I can touch on a little bit of both, creating those conversations that lead us there. Cam, in your case, you're absolutely creating insanely valuable tools for businesses. I think that's kind of the play.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
We've also gotten at least one super solid case study with SEWA, which I'm going to absolutely abuse in the first couple of videos. Like, hey, you want this to happen? Then we show how SEWA's followers have gone up by 400 in the past couple months. That's the idea. We can get started on drafting the first couple of videos. I think the first video is obviously the classic—what do we do, who are we, etc.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
An office-style sitcom. Dude, I kind of love the idea of doing something cinematic in the sense of, you know, we're better than you, bro. We're better than everybody. We can do something interesting. Like, give ourselves roles. You know, I get a call from a client and then from there I'm like, "We need this, this, and this stat." And that branches off into Miguel designing something on a blank canvas, painting on a blank canvas. And then it's like, we switch from that call to like Cam, locked in a fucking lab with 20 computers. Like, we can get creative, you know?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Like some moisturizer, 100 tissues... no, no, okay come on, bro. Not my wrist. Please check your email, I sent you another banner. See, let's see how it renders while you keep talking.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I'm sorry to interrupt you.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
No, you're good. I'm just spitballing here, but I'm thinking of cool things that we could do that clearly separates us from other people who are doing this. You mentioned something that's a great point. Wait, what happened here? Yeah, this looks dope. My bad, fucking measurements are shit.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Uh-huh, keep talking.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Okay, I was gonna say, I think you mentioned a good point. Like, we work in AI and AI is obviously very rigid, and the people who work in AI are not cool at all. So I think the idea of humanizing AI and making a very user-friendly brand that people find approachable? How do you feel?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
User-friendly, I love that. I need to write that down. I actually love that, como que? I got all of our expenses in a little spreadsheet, so I'll make sure to send that or put it in the Google Drive.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Hey Cam, fuck you bro.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Fuck you too, man.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
You know what I thought before? We're kind of like Louie's Pokemon, you know? He's the guy who gets the face, all right? But if you think about it, the Pokemon are way cooler than us.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Hey, I'm not downgrading. If you're going to put it like that, it's like what's cooler—Ash Ketchum or Dragonite? Shit, dude.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Right. You're right. We're better. I'm degrading us.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I just thought it was funny. You're degrading us. Good fucking guy. I'm sorry.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
All right. But yeah, so we got our marching orders.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Cam, I'd say in your case, obviously I know you have a bunch of shit to do, but I think your effort in terms of the internal stuff should be based on trying to source relatively good leads at volume and also try to hit the ones in Puerto Rico too, because I'll do a cold email outreach and whip it up right. But yeah, let's give a little revamp to the list that we initially had and start thinking about how we're going to structure the email blast that we would be doing and the automations that will follow that, right? Because we have to answer 10,000 emails. We're never gonna fucking leave the house.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Then Miguel, you know what you have to do, bro? Make that shit pretty, buddy.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, make that shit pretty, basically.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Man, that's my favorite part, bro. That's what you need to do. Not pretty. Hey, not pretty. Sexy. Optimize.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Oh, sorry. Optimized doesn't like, honestly, that does not do it for me. Like I get it with AI optimization. No, I'm not saying it because of that. I can't just be making Freddy out of it for the sake of Freddy.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, you need to make it sexy at optimal levels, dude. You need to make it pretty with a purpose.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
There you go. Exacto. Now that's good design. If it works, it's going to be sexy.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Whatever.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Seven clients—imagine that times three—that's thirty-three grand. And suddenly we can pay ourselves like six grand a month and still have twelve k for expenses. You know, that's nice, bro. That's a really good point to start off.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, way to go. I'm proud of you. Going to another banner—I know I'm uploading it right now. So many banners, dude. I hate this. They're never clear with their measurements and the safety guides, so the profile picture doesn't block it. Why is that so hard?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, so ninety percent of startups fail. And we're fucking idiots for trying to start our own company. But we're doing this shit. And we're doing it for real. And we're doing great thus far. And we're going to keep doing it. We're doing great.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
You know what, Cam? I know what you're saying. But like, also, ninety percent of startups fail because... yeah, here, no, it shouldn't be cropping like that. Is that the noise? Okay, I read this shit. Come on. Your fucking company ones have a different measurement than the personal ones. Well, let me see if the other one works.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Anyway, Cam, I understand what you're saying. Yeah, I mean, I was being a little facetious. So yeah, but I also think like, realistically... what's up? Oh look, that works. But I'll check to see if it renders pixel perfect. I have it open on my computer. It kind of looks like ass. No, it looks good. It's great. Michelle, great, just let it stay.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
What I was saying though is that, Cam, the reality of our situation is that we're able to do a lot with a little. So, you know, I think with a proper marketing push—because again, I'm not saying this is what we're going to do for the rest of our lives. But if we can make a couple hundred thousand dollars doing this for the next three years, I think that'll set us up for our next big play.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, well, I wasn't trying to say like, "Oh, we shouldn't start a company." I was just trying to say we're ballsy for doing it. Right. And I think we can make this work. Let's be entrepreneurial. Oh Jesus, died for our sins. Jesus died for our sins. Join the club, dude. Did you send me another one?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
No, I sent you the other last one. What's that? You're trying to link? So are you gonna put out a post, Cam? When's the post? Post it whenever you want, bro.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Also, if you want to—this is your doubt—you're far off of what I would have said. And I'm a tad nervous that I'm gonna blow my cover posting.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Okay, then you don't have to post. I'm happy to put it on my LinkedIn and claim it without publishing about my new step that I'm taking without alerting my employers.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. I agree. But then we can—with the brand and be—it'll probably be—we got shit popping and I don't really need my old job. I don't think it's that crazy. I don't think it's that crazy for, you know, like—we have done zero marketing. Like, absolutely zero type of client outreach. I don't think it's crazy that by July we have fifteen clients. I don't think it's crazy that by August we have twenty.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
I'm on the same page. I mean, I think we're—let's make it noticeable. Remember that in Puerto Rico there aren't people that are doing this, and if there are, they're not doing it right. So let's launch it with that very specific angle. And I think we're going to do pretty good for ourselves.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Okay. Yeah. So then there's another half of the United States that we need to hit. I think that's just a quarter of the United States we had. I think there's a whole lot more of the United States to fucking, you know, reach out to. For all the money. Luis?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Yeah?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Okay, do you want to share with us the ideas you had for your shirts?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Shirts? I didn't have any ideas. I just—yeah, okay.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
Shirts, though? Yeah, like, I like shirts. I just wanted to do something. I just wanted to fucking do this. Get like a t-shirt and put our fucking logo on it. Yeah, and we can get a hoodie for Cam. And then I'm gonna get a polo—Flow Systems. And I'm gonna play golf with this. And then I'm gonna go play golf with millionaires using this polo with a fucking logo on it. I want my shorts to say FS instead of GH on them. No? Like, okay. Word.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTMicrophone
But that's something we can work on. I'm definitely going to make an order soon, just because I want to have something. But I want to do it with the cool logo. Let's go. Be cool, dude. You guys, it is cool. Let me just do the shirt. Go ahead, just do the shirt, that bro. All right, I'm gonna hang up. Bye, guys. Bye, guys. I'm doing that too, but you can't see. Okay, you guys know what to do. We'll cut your face tomorrow. Good night. Bye. No. Sounds about fair. I'm not. You must start seeing. No, bro. I was...
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Thank you. How are you doing, Baler? You are not forgiven. How could we ever forgive him? Nope. I have a headache.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Wait, is that what we want to use for the logo? I said an icon, but I wouldn't put the full logo as a profile picture. There is a vertical version. I could send you this, but we already have one. What about the flow? I like that. I wanted to mention—it's a direction I really like initially, but right now I'm trying to force it by making it legible, and I don't think it's come across well. I can show it to you, but I wouldn't present it. It doesn't look like a finished logo. I feel like maybe we should just leave this for later. Yeah, I have a fucking mess with my files.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
I have all these iterations, but I think maybe we should leave this for later. When I finally have time to develop it further and make it animated, this could be like our animated identity stuff. This feels incomplete to me. There are 20 different versions. There is something there, but the concept is lost. I don't see it working. Sure, it might look cool, but I wouldn't present it at least yet. What I have for our brand is these two logos and our icons, which are over here. We could also present this as green.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Yes, I feel you. I really like the logo. I like the idea, but I don't think it's there yet. I would prefer to leave it for later because it doesn't hurt us at all. Just leave it for later and have it well developed. Just send that one to me for now. I would like to switch it later on, but I'm a little bummed out, I'm not going to lie. I really liked it.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
So, is that how big you want it? I saw with a couple of profile pictures—LinkedIn crops a lot. You can adjust it there, so it's no biggie. I'm just giving you some white space so it's not too tight any way you crop it. Let me try something. Like that. That looks good. I like it too. Yeah, it needs to be 300 by 300 by the way.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
It's a stamp. It's our stamp, it's our mark at Slime Greens. I'm going to go. I made it, Doug. You have the measurements for the banner, Luis? I'm creating the first cam for contacts and making the LinkedIn version. Did you say you haven't received that? Did you send it to the wrong email? I sent it to Luis. Yes, I did send it to the wrong email. It's all good. Thank you.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Okay, I created it. Why is the screen so fucking bright? So bright. Oh, I do believe that. Also, Cam, the Flow System website seems to be down. Yeah, I saw that.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Some measurements here. It says that for company pages it's different than personal pages, not really better. Okay, I think I got it. Whatever. You can even call it our website. Yeah, honestly, just as a placeholder, can we try to use the samples of what you made, Miguel? Obviously, it's not going to be perfect, but I think it's better than the AI stuff.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Here, do what? No, guy, I don't want the AI slop we had. The one you made is still going to be sloppy. I know, but it's going to be better than whatever we had. Okay, full. You can put mine.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Email from... oh. What do you mean? Invalid URL format. Dot dot live. It says invalid URL format. No, no, no, let me hold on. I'll show you. What the fuck? Yeah, bro, you're fucked. I'm getting shit on right now. What the fuck?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Okay, well, while we figure all of this out. The other thing I wanted to touch base on—something I mentioned to Cam about—is that I think what I'm going to start doing. I'm not entirely sure if this is the right way to do it, but I'm considering giving us a salary. Obviously, we're not making a huge amount of money right now, but based on the clients we have, I think we can pay $2,000 a month for each of us right now.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
So I'm thinking for now we're going to start there. Obviously, as we scale, we can give ourselves raises and whatnot, but I think this is just the fairest way of paying all of us and maintaining a healthy bank account.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
There are a lot of things we're not taking into consideration here, like taxes and write-offs. We need to spend money, obviously, because at the end of the year we could do this as dividends, but then we'd have to pay capital gains tax if we don't have an incentive that blocks that, which is something at least Miguel and I can do. I don't know about you, Cam. You could just move to Puerto Rico, right? But yeah, that's kind of where I'm heading. I think it's a good place to start.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
I was thinking of doing like $2,500 a month, which would obviously be better for having our personal wallets up, but dude, what is going on? Another admin is trying to make changes to this page at the same time as you. Please try again. What's happening, bro? Yeah, maybe two tabs open? Is that it? Maybe not, it doesn't seem like it.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Anyway, that's kind of why I'm shooting for it to be lower. Because I'm not entirely sure where we're at in terms of expenses. Obviously, there are a lot of expenses you have that we need to touch base on, and that's also part of why I wanted to have this call. If you could create—I know you had a worksheet on the expenses you're incurring right now—that I can provide to... I'm sorry.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
I need something that gives the accountant full scope of money coming in and out. That would be great because obviously it's better if we have visibility into all the cash flow.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Let me stop sharing and see if I can do this. I'll close this real quick. But yeah, we should definitely get that rolling. I think 2K is a good starting point.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
How do I deactivate the page? I'm getting an error. By the way, nice haircut. I feel that. Why does it say invalid domain for this? No, it's asking for an email. Can I see the original one, just out of curiosity?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
You need to remember, I did our first ship and after two weeks I looked at it and it actually looks pretty cool. I'm not going to lie. Where's the old logo? Yeah, it's the pattern on it. You said it. I'm just not good at listening. Can I just pass on this? Yeah, whatever. I'm just going to work.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Should I get the codebase or can I just build my own? I've tried to log into Cloudflare and I just get lost. We have to include the content marketing side of all of this as well. In terms of the website, right now it's only the UI stuff. I have no expectations of doing any cloud design work at this point.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
It seems to have worked. Small win. This is so weird—it keeps saying another admin is trying to make changes to this page at the same time as you. It's okay. Do you have like two tabs open, Luis? No. It's okay. At least it saved. I can leave it as is. We don't have a website for now. Now that that's done, I can actually talk without sounding like I'm having an aneurysm.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
What I was saying is I think the best thing we can do right now is start paying ourselves. Obviously we all have expenses. Cam, I know you're doing pretty well right now, so I'm happy for you. Still, I'd like to pay you. I mean, if you want to just build equity in the company, that doesn't really make sense because if I'm paying myself and I'm paying Miguel, we're just taking money from your equity.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
That's not really a problem for me because as soon as we have enough money, I'm going to pull funds to my account anyway. I'm going to pay myself back. That's not what worries me. I think the goal here is to start—and we're already there. We're generating more than we're spending. Right off the bat, we're already in profit. The important thing is that we consistently have money in that bank account.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio

5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
I think it's crazy to think that in two months we can double that, considering that we've really only been working at this since the beginning of March. Yeah, I think that's kind of the plan.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Needless to say, I think we're already at that point. I know I'm exhausting my sphere of influence, and luckily it's worked to our benefit. There's still some people that I want to touch base with that I know I can get clients from, and that sphere of influence is also growing. But we need to start finding other ways of keeping clients. Because for all I know, the clients that we have right now, next month they could turn their back and say, "I don't want to pay for this anymore." And then we're shit out of luck. So we need to figure out a way to just keep that influx of cash coming in.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
I really wanted to have this meeting just to make sure that we're all on the same page. I wanted to make the LinkedIn page just so we can update our LinkedIn things. Cam, I don't know if you're in a weird situation with your startup, so I don't know if this is something that you can really make public. I'm quoting you by the way.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Yeah, and I mean, to be fair, obviously, I'm definitely shooting for this. I think it's totally understandable that all of us have these side hustles, but I really think that this is something that we can build out in the next five years and make really good money off of it. I can't say for certain that this is something we can do for the next five years because AI grows at a pace like no other. So for all I know, in the next three years, we're completely obsolete. But while it's still viable, I think we have to go for it.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
And then, you know, at the end of the day, we're gonna have a stacked resume and can kind of, you know, if it ends up being the type of thing where we just can't continue doing this company, we can sell the company if we're at that point. If we've scaled at that point, we can sell the company or call it quits and we can find ourselves jobs with all the experience that we've mounted up. You know what I'm saying?
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
So I obviously am all in on this, that this is what I want to do consistently and this is what I want my main thing to be. And I think that, you know, in the short amount of time that we've actually been working this and being able to garner the results that we have, I think it's totally possible. So, yeah, I think that said, do with that what you will. I'm obviously going to announce to the world that we're doing this for the sake of letting people know that we're doing this.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Because a lot of the time I have friends that will ask, "So what are you doing now?" And when I tell them, they're like, "Wait, I didn't know you were doing that. We should work together." You know what I'm saying? So being able to actually announce on a platform which is pretty much dedicated to letting people broadcast in a super nonchalant way and say, "This is what I do," I think it'll help us. At least for starters.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
So that's what I'm saying. I think it's going to get easier right now. Obviously we still have a lot of work to get to that point. But yeah, I think this is totally a possibility. This is the main thing that I want to do right now. And you know, I hope that both of you do as well, with the full intention of let's scale this business and actually fucking make it work.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Did you make the banners? See, I'm about to show you.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
No, speaking from a design perspective. This is better. This is hysterical. Let me see what you're showing. Let me open it up.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
I haven't seen the dog in a couple of days, bro. I'm hyped.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
Did you send it? Where did you send it? To the wrong email again? No, hey, give me a break. Let me...
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
All right. I keep calling you for the first time. No clue where that came from anyways.
5:14 PM - 6:40 PM PDTSystem Audio
How was your weekend? What the fuck? Can you not hear me?
6:43 PM - 6:44 PM PDTMicrophone
I don't hear about that. Yeah, I haven't seen any of that. Circles. Yeah, I agree with that. Mm-hmm. But she is she.
